More mindblowing quotes and concepts

Acquisition in ancient and even medieval times was problematic because of how one acquired wealth. Since wealth was primarily in land – which was finite - people acquired non hereditary wealth by war, taxation or theft.

Taking someone else’s wealth is wrong.

But in today’s market economy we are creating wealth. And we are sharing it as well – as we build businesses that allow others to participate in this prosperity.

This concept brings me to today’s quote from The Good of Affluence:

“Who has done more to eradicate poverty and suffering in the Third World, Bill Gates or Mother Teresa?” - R. J. Rodgers, CEO of Cypress Semiconductor
