This weekend the boys spent the night with us. On Saturday morning Xander slipped into Opa’s study and asked him what he was doing.

Xander asked if he could sit in there with him. When Opa answered in the affirmative, Xander ran to get his bible and came back to sit on the floor of the study. He looked at the pictures and quietly told himself the bible stories.

Sitting in his chair with an open bible on his lap, Opa looked up and replied, “Talking to God.”

What a precious memories this brings back of when our girls were preschoolers and started to have quiet times even before they could read. And it makes me appreciate this man that the Lord graciously gave me as my life partner. His example now impacts this next generation.

Wow, a quiet time already. That is so cool!
I am so incredibly thankful for the wonderful example you and Opa are to my boys. :)
